we are passionate about preserving the traditional “old style” and “classic” types of siamese – our long term aim is to breed cats to the standard that was winning shows in the 1950’s or earlier. usually, we breed the four main colour points: seal, chocolate, lilac and blue. of course, most of all, we just love happy healthy kittens. our beautiful foundation queen ch. sandaig bluebelle of emrys* is registered with the gccf and has an increasingly rare “pure” siamese cs24 pedigree (no orientals). we have shown bluebelle within the international tica registry, where she has had the good fortune to be the first ever old style siamese (called thai in tica) to gain the title of champion in the uk; and has also been awarded best of breed 2012 for the tica western europe region. our second queen, sandypoints pollyanna of emrys , was imported from usa and is bluebelle’s grand daughter. aside from the fact that we love her dearly, polly is particularly special because her father, mingo, is descended from the famous “green lane” cattery in america and has a “pure” siamese cs24 pedigree . last winter, we decided to keep back a very mischievous chocolate point kitten of bluebelle’s. we have called her emrys mademoiselle marigolde as her chocolate points are slightly gold like the petals of the flower, and she is a very naughty little madam! we chose marigolde because, as well as being beautiful, she is soooo siamese... a softy, very vocal and very naughty. as with all of our queens, marigolde has a “pure” cs siamese pedigree . naturally, as we are committed to the highest standards, emrys siamese is one of only a handful of siamese breeders in the country that have opted to be independently monitored by the gccf breeder scheme (no. 00163) . in addition to being registered with gccf and tica, we are members of the siamese cat club and the old style siamese club kernow cat club -- in the uk, and collaborate internationally with other like minded old style siamese breeders preossia -- . * special thanks go to lynda, bluebelle’s breeder, for entrusting us with one of her “babies” pollyanna’s first litter we are proud to announce that pollyanna had her first litter of five beautiful pedigree siamese kittens: two seal boys, two chocolate boys and a blue girl - all the kittens are spoken for and they will be ready to go to their new homes at the end of november 2015. as an aside: this is a particularly unique and special litter. the sire, imperial grand champion chaiross demetrius, is a lovely “classic” boy of real quality who has just been retired/neutered, so this is his last litter. pollyanna, who was imported from the us last year to bring some much needed new genes to the uk, carries on the famous “green lane” lines – the green lane cats go back to some of the uk 1950’s old style siamese, such as kathleen williams of doneraile. pollyanna also brings her mother’s tica ch. emrys lady helena’s lines and the kittens themselves have cs24 pedigrees. -- latest news we are pleased to announce that pollyanna, our beautiful seal point queen, has four lovely kittens, all doing well. we will try to post photos as and when we can. at the moment, we have one seal boy available , as bluebelle had 6 boys(!) in her last litter... so we were able to bump people waiting for boys up the list. if you are able to offer this handsome chappy a safe & loving home, please fill in our kitten questionnaire below and we will try to get back to as soon as we can. the kittens will be ready from 13 weeks old, so around end of august / beginning of september. after this litter, our next will be in spring or summer of 2019. if you would like to go on our waiting list (which is filling up quickly), we'd love to hear from you - just email and tell us a little about yourselves and answering the questions below. thank you. :-) double trouble read the kitten diary on facebook → hurray, we have kittens! born within 24 hours of each other, marigolde has had her first litter of seven little rascals(!) and pollyanna has had five little darlings. everyone is a little tired but very, very happy. we have more girls than boys and - amazingly - a three blues, three chocolates and lots of lovely seals. the kittens have now settled into their new homes. bluebelle & patrick 2016 our beautiful bluebelle has had six little bundles of trouble on 16th september - all the kittens are spoken for and have now settled into their new homes. -- past litters see more photos of the kittens & bluebelle on flickr → watch more videos of the kittens on youtube → all our kittens come with a gccf and/or tica pedigree , four weeks insurance with pet plan , goodie bag, care sheets, and “lifetime support” should you need it. while they are with us, the kittens are fed a high quality balanced diet, much adored, thoroughly socialised (played with!), and brought up in a home environment with all the usual noise and activity. of course, the kittens are given the core vaccines , wormed, vet checked and litter trained! our queen’s vaccinations are kept up-to-date and they have tested pra negative, felv & fiv free - you are very welcome to inspect the all documentation when you come and visit. please note: as responsible breeders, we look to place our kittens in safe, loving homes as pets only. they are not sold for breeding and, as such, will be put on the “non-active” register. new owners will be asked to sign a contract of sale where, amongst other undertakings, they agree to neuter or spay their kitten before it is six months old. kitten enquiries if you feel that you might be able to give one of our kittens a home, we'd love to hear a little more about you. we do usually have a waiting list. please be aware that, while we take into account your preferences, we have a responsibility to match individual kittens to the most suitable homes. so, although we try our best, this means that the waiting list will not necessarily be on a first-come-first-served basis. we also ask all prospective owners of an emrys kitten lots and lots and lots of questions (including your address and postcode), so the more you can tell us about yourself, your family and home, the better. things you might want to consider including would be: have you had a siamese before? are you interested in a particular colour-point? do you have a preference for a male or female, and if so why? do you have any particular views on neutering? why are you interested in a siamese kitten? i.e. what interests you in the breed, what would you expect from a siamese? do you think they would expect anything from you? how much time would you, in particular, have to spend with your kitten/cat? would you keep him/her indoors or let them outdoors... what sort of life would you envisage them having? if appropriate, what sort of foods do you feed your existing/previous cats? are you interested in learning more about feline diet or would you prefer to continue with your previous routine? do you have other pets or children? if you have children, what age are they? if they are young how would they be introduced and what sort of a relationship do you think they would have with a kitten? how old are you and, if appropriate, your partner? do know of anything that might make it difficult for you to look after a kitten or cat yourself, both now or in the future? if so, have you thought about how you might plan for / cope with this. contact us please remember, emrys siamese is our hobby... we do get a lot of enquiries and are o
